Joe Nocera, who recently replaced either Frank Rich or Bob Herbert as a New York Times columnist, over the weekend took aim at the competition, writing that "The Wall Street Journal has been Fox-ified" since the December 2007 acquisition of Dow Jones & Co. by News Corp., which also owns Fox News Channel. Nocera claims that the news pages of the Journal have undergone a "subtle" and "insidious" change:
